I got a phone call in the middle of the night telling me that my boyfriends grandmother died. She had a stroke and while waiting on the ambulance she passed away. It is a sad day for us. My brother and his girlfriend flew out today for the funeral that will be on Monday. I'm happy to see my brother but not under these circumstances. We knew she had been ill for some time now but never thought this was the way she was going to go.
So the last week of classes..... I have a lot of testing I have to get done before Tuesday. This is hard trying to juggle all the things that are going on in my life right now but I know its all a part of life. Well that's all I got to say for now. I will continue to post to this blog because even though the class is over I feel like this is a good way to get things off my chest. Good luck to you all in the future.
Until next time,

Finals week...
Okay so its that time again, I cannot believe how fast the last 9 weeks went. It seems like just yesterday the school was calling me to get my classes together for this term now its almost over. Time sure does fly when your having fun. I have a really busy week ahead of me with this being finals week, papers due in all three of my classes, exams, discussions it seems like it never will end. I believe the school system came up with finals week to see how well we work under a lot of pressure lol. I have grown as a writer and as a person over the last nine weeks and I owe that all to my wonderful professors. I know I'm just that much closer to becomings a medical assistant. I'm in the process of getting everything in order for my clinical work since I will be doing that next term and I couldn't be happier because now I get to apply all the information that I obtained over the last few terms into something I've been waiting to do.
I am going this weekend to take my class so that I will have my certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) which is a must have to be in this profession.
My son has been asking me about my grades and gets really excited when I show him I got a 100% ha ha so he knows I have final papers due this week and he keeps asking "mommy did you get 100% on your papers yet?" lol its really cute.
Well until next time, Take care

I want to talk about the Arizona Immigration law because this is a big debate in the U.S. right now.
Many people complain day to day about the "illegals" in our country and want them out and now that Arizona is the first to stand up and do something about it everyone is in a frenzy.
When I was in Arizona for my sisters wedding back in March-the beginning of April I went through boarder patrol and they asked question and nobody complained then. They asked where I was going and coming from as well as what was my status, meaning was I from the U.S. And I never thought twice about it. I know that is not the same as to what they are trying to do now but Arizonans should already know how that state works already, if they don't like it move out of Arizona!!!
The only people who have a problem with this law are "illegal" or has family or friends that are. This is only happening in Arizona as of now and people around the world are going crazy about it. Until this law starts to effect you let Arizona do it's job. Arizona is just doing what the rest of us should have been doing and that is keeping "illegals" out of OUR country.
I normally keep my opinions to myself but I feel strongly about this and agree with what Arizona is trying to do. I'm very sorry if I offended any of you, that is not my intention.
Until next time take care,

Not a good start to the end of my week!!!
Hello everyone,
I got a call this morning from my mother in law telling me my father in law is back in the hospital because he had another heart attack. The thing that I don't get is that he has a pacemaker in and it never kicked in. They are running all kinds of test on him now and so far they found out he was without oxygen to his brain for about a minute and a half so now they are testing to see if any brain damage has occurred he also only has 10% of his heart left (well he did until this happen) they are going to be looking to see how much more damage was done. They also noted that the pacemaker was set to 161 and he dropped to 140 but it never kicked in. You see back in 2003 he was diagnosed with cancer and they removed his stomach, he had strokes, and heart attacks, causing him to lose all of his heart but the 10%, now this is happening all over again. My husband is not taking this news very well as none of us would if it were our parents. They told my father in law that he would be too weak to have any more surgeries but the only thing that would help him now is to have a heart transplant so its a lose lose situation. My father in law is talking about checking himself out the hospital now because there is no need for him to be in there as he puts it. I feel useless in this kind of situation I don't know what to do or say to any of them.
I am going to talk a little bit about my class this week as well.....I am excited about this week in my writing class because it is time for peer review. We just turned in our drafts last week and now we need to submit them to our discussion so the class can also give us tips on making it a better paper. I know I can use as much help as possible on my paper lol.
Well until next time,take care...

What a week I have ahead of me in school....
Hello everyone,
So I'm sure a lot of you are feeling the same way I feel which is overwhelmed this week due to it being "mid-term week". I am currently taking 3 classes this term which are Pharmacology(honors), A&P2(Honors), and of course this class College comp 2, In all 3 of my classes this week I have papers that are due, I have discussions, I have exams, and assignments that's all due by the end of this week. I want to keep my grades in the A range so I need to do my very best and it is becoming very stressful. Besides school I still have family that I need to attend to as well and it just seems there is never enough time to get it all done. I am trying not to be stressed and trying to break it all up through out the week but I still have that fear that something is going to go wrong. In my last terms here at Kaplan University I was only taking 2 classes per term but decided this term was going to be different and took on one more class as well as joining the honors program. I love a challenge and this is definitely going to be a challenge to try to get all my work done on time, take care of my family life, and make sure I do it all correctly.
Well until next time,

How school is influencing my life up to this point...
Hello Again everyone,
Today I'm going to be talking about how school has influenced my life up to this point.
Well I NEVER thought I would have the opportunity to go back to school until last year when my sister in law was telling me about her enrolling in an on line school and gave me all the details about it.
I am a stay at home mom and when my son started school I felt useless, I tried to get jobs but nothing would have worked with my son's school schedule and the hours they wanted me to work or you needed a degree to get into the job. I was always depressed and didn't feel like anything mattered. When my son came home from school I would act as if everything was fine when really it wasn't. I saw a big change in the way my son was looking at school and I wanted to change that. When I started on line classes with Kaplan University I had something to do, I had something to look forward to and I know my son saw a difference in me as well. He would get up for school in the morning and tell me "okay mom don't be late for school" and when he came home he wanted to sit next to me on his computer and act as if he was doing his work also. Going to school gave me something to look forward to everyday because I know its one day closer to getting my degree and getting into a job that I know I will love as well as help my son have a better life. This term I enrolled into the honers program and couldn't be happier. With me going to school it has showed my son that even grownups have to go to school and to never give up on something.
Well until next time, take care...

Introduction
Hello again,
So I guess I should have done this first but I am going to introduce myself to you all... My name is Gevanine but I prefer to be called Nina. I have been called Nina my entire life because it is just so much easier to say. I come from a large family which consist of my mother and father then I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters, I am the oldest girl and I have 1 older brother, the rest of course are all younger then I am.
I am 25 years old and am not married but I have been with the same man for the last 9years and we have a 7 year old little boy together. I moved to Florid from Las Vegas when I was 9 years old and have been here since. My family (parents, Brothers, Sisters)all moved to Arizona when I was 18 for my fathers and brothers jobs. I fly RC airplanes here and there, growing up their was no getting away from them lol, my father is really big into them and so is my brothers now. My brothers all fly professionally and have even made it into RC magazine's, news papers, news, etc. You can google my brother Michael Busutil and you will find a lot on him as well as my other brothers and father also. I am very proud of what they have all achieved over the years.
I enrolled into Kaplan University so that I can obtain my degree in Medical assisting. Being in the medical field is something that I have dreamed of for a very long time now and am proud of myself for taking the step in the right direction. I want to show my son to never give up on his dreams and if you just try anything is possible. I also want him to appreciate school and see that even grownups have to go to school if they want a good job lol. After getting my degree I plan to go into the pediatrics field. I have a son of my own and I am the aunt to 3 wonderful nephews and 1 adorable niece. I have always loved children and would love to work with them.
Well their is my story, hope you all enjoyed it and stay tuned as their will be more coming up.
Take care,
Nina :o)
